At Inari Shrines, foxes are not enshrined but are believed to be the messengers of Inari Ōkami. Known at our shrine as Yatte-san, these white fox spiritual beings deliver your wishes to Inari Ōkami and bring Inari Ōkami’s divine virtue to you.
They are purified and blessed, like our Kamidana.
Place these fox statues before a Kamidana or Ofuda to invite Inari Ōkami’s blessings into your home.
