We need your help in making various Shinto ceremonies happen!

An in-person Shrine event takes many hands to be successful. This is also a great opportunity if you need community service hours for school, college, or work.

  • We need 3-5 volunteers per section. You do not have to volunteer for the entire day, but please complete your shift.
  • Volunteers are welcome to observe/attend/ participate in the ceremonies but once you join, please don’t leave until the ceremony has ended.
  • *** We need an Audio/Video Technician for both days. It can be a different person each day but you do need to be available for the entire day. You should be willing to learn or know how to use a video camera, sound mixer and mic. ***

You don’t have to live in Los Angeles to volunteer in person but it helps. We always welcome someone to drive/fly to Los Angeles and help in person (transportation and accommodations are your own expense) We also plan to hold a similar in-person volunteer opportunity for Seattle, Washington.

!! Volunteering for events like these are great opportunities
to learn about Shinto and Japanese culture in person !!

Please fill out this form to volunteer for the Shrine.
If you have any questions please email our volunteer coordinator, Kit Morgan at  Kit@ShintoInari.org
