When people hear "Inari Shrine," foxes often come to mind. However, the fox is not enshrined; the fox is the messenger of Inari Ōkami. At our shrine, they are called Yatte-san. They are also sometimes called Kenzoku/servant or Shinshi/Kami's messengers. Unlike animal foxes, Yatte-san are spiritual beings and are "white foxes". White represents being invisible or colorless and transparent. They deliver your wishes to Inari Ōkami and also deliver Inari Ōkami's divine virtue to you.
Height about 16cm/ 6 1/4 inches
This is a fox (kitsune) figurine representing the messengers of Inari Ōkami. Place one on each side of the Kamidana's miniature shrine. Each figure should face the miniature shrine. (If you only have an Ofuda, place one on each side of the Ofuda facing the Ofuda.)
