Jichin-sai (Groundbreaking) 地鎮祭

To pay respects to land where new constriction will be taking place.

*Held at your location.

In Japan, it is customary to hold a groundbreaking ceremony before construction begins on a new building or home to pay respect to the land, local and the Kami-sama, to pray for safe construction, and for the future prosperity of the users of the new building.

We blessed not only the ground but also the family/company, the construction company, equipment as well as people who related to the project.

The ceremony has a minimum donation of $650 plus accommodations when applicable. Remote Jichin-sai is also available via Zoom. Contact the Shrine for details.
